I believe that some companies get blinded by new tech, get high on their own supply, and that can result in work that is destructive instead of restorative. — https://aftermath.site/true-lies-4k-uhd-blu-ray-james-cameron-peter-jackson-park-road-post

Is that a metaphor for the overuse of JavaScript frameworks/libraries where plain old HTML/CSS/JS would be much better?

@nhoizey Don't know about you, but about movies... I bought a 4K TV to see new 4K stuff. The old stuff, like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, can be on 1080p or even in DVD, thank you.

Wait, is “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” really the best movie in the Bad Boys franchise, as Letterboxd users seem to think?

Here's the franchise ranked by decreasing average rating: https://letterboxd.com/films/in/bad-boys-collection/by/rating/size/large/

I really didn't like the 3rd, so I wasn't planning on seeing the 4th, but I might reconsider.

A beautiful, smart, non-sample-size woman in a $200 million action movie by a major director should not be that rare in 2024, but it is. And it should…

Raiders of the Lost Ark was released 40 years ago today! 😲

I still love everything about it, it aged very well!
